Within research, support is typically given to projects concerned with medicine or science and technology. In the field of medicine, support was given in 2008 to research projects concerned with hepatitis, tuberculosis and breast and uterine cancer. In the field of science and technology, the foundation supported, among other things, local actitivies in connection with the Festival of Research, an annual event intended to arouse public interest in and understanding of the research performed in Denmark.
Within education, the Foundation supported, among others, a number of projects designed to stimulate children's interest in science and technology.
Two of the year's largest donations were given to provide furniture and teaching equipment for a new science centre at a local continuation school and to establish Fiskbaek Nature School, which is housed at Graasten Agricultural College and is the third of its kind in Sonderborg Municipality.
